Jim Stiber, Captain & Master Naturalist
I am Captain Jim and I am very  excited to be your naturalist, guide, and interpreter on your adventure into the Florida Everglades and 10,000 Islands Wilderness Refuge. My enthusiasm for Florida's Eco systems began very early in  life and by the time I was 12 I was already talking about finding a way to live in The Everglades. After spending my life exploring the many beautiful places of Florida I decided to dedicate myself to guiding and educating others about the wonders of the Florida Wilderness.  As a University of Florida graduate I spent a great deal of time studying the history, flora, and wildlife of the state of Florida. . I'm dedicated to bringing about the best adventure possible for all aboard.

As a licensed Coast Guard Captain and a trained Master Naturalist by The University of Florida I bring all I  have to my charters.  We will visit some of  the most beautiful islands in the Gulf of Mexico. You'll be free to experience the breathtaking seascape along sandy beaches of The 10,000 Islands and The Florida Everglades. This wilderness is a treasure to behold and are a spectacular treat for nature enthusiasts who are captivated by unspoiled terrain and amazed by its beauty.

Although it may be enjoyable to visit some of the typical commercial beaches of Naples and Marco Island with fast food, souvenir shops, and retail stores there is a more exciting and relaxing way to experience Florida. Plan an Adventure into to The Florida Everglades and The 10,000 Islands Wilderness Refuge.

We would like our guest to understand that "Every Trip Is An Adventure."  Whether  you're interested in eco touring, beachcombing, angling or any other tours we really want you to fully experience  the wilderness with the time you have to spend in The 10,000 Islands.

As a Captain and Master Naturalist I consider it one of my responsibilities  to guide you through the 10,000 Islands based on your goals and reasons for visiting this wilderness.   This is why we only give private boat tours.  This enables us to focus on two very important factors...  Your interests and the conditions we face on the day of your Adventure, for conditions are everything in the 10,000 Islands.   Combining these factors enables us to truly personalize your adventure.

Therefore, no two trips can be exactly alike and we believe this is how you, the Adventurer, can enjoy this most unique environment to the fullest extent of our time together as Captain and Crew..

The only rule we have aboard The Summer Breeze is... "If the Crew is happy, the Captain is happy..."

Visit Panther Key...  The Island where John Gomez, famed pirate and adventurer, once lived and is buried somewhere on the island.

Take a Private Boat Tour to The Ruins of Fakahatchee Bay and Fakahatchee Island.
This area, deep in The Everglades, was once home to The Calusa, also known as "The Shell Indians".

The Island and surrounding area are rich in history and not much has changed since the early 1900s, when farmers and fishermen first settled around Fakahatchee Bay.
